Dogs are a domesticated species of canines.
They seem to get along great with foxes.[2]
Herding Dog[ | ]
Clever, easy to train, and always willing to keep you warm in the cold, herding dogs are the perfect companion whether you are a lone wanderer home on the range, or a shepherd with a flock to keep.
Like all dogs, herding dogs can be trained to perform simple tasks, such as fetching items, following their owners, or defending their owners from harm, but herding dogs also have a natural instinct to protect and coral herd animals that can be honed with training to make them perfect assistants for shepherds and ranchers, just as the name implies.[1]
